The residents of Horton in Ribblesdale welcome visitors.
Unfortunately, you are reminded that we, the residents, are dominated by the Yorkshire Dales National Park and, aided by a very hostile Parish Council, are treated as a great inconvenience. Parking has been a growing problem for well over 25 years and, up until the year 2005, residents had an agreement with the YDNP that we could park our cars on our car park without payment. This agreement was unilaterally withdrawn by the YDNP unopposed by our so-called elected representatives on the Parish council, and we now have to pay to use our car park.
We therefore respectfully request that visitors refrain from parking in front of residents homes whenever possible.
